Harshaa JainHarshaa Jain, the designer and stylist for fashion house HashTag, says, "The trend’s made a comeback now because no China cap embroidery machines Manufacturers matter who the person is, when they wear velvet, there’s a certain luxurious feel to it. We speak to the fashionistas to find out what they think of the trend.Amy Jackson When asked how to incorporate it into one’s wardrobes, she says, "People can try wearing a short dress in the fabric. Reigning style queens of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor, and Amy Jackson have been quick to jump onto the wagon and looked great doing it. There’s so much variety that you can experiment with — caps, boots, scarves and dresses. Also, the open hair is making her look broader. Also, her look is very modern elegant and the gold works well on her skin tone. Now she looks more modern and on trend," Urvashi adds. Instead of a plunging neckline, I would have preferred a deeper back.

The actress who made her international debut with Quantico last year looks sexy and elegant, says designer Rina Dhaka and adds, "To stand next to fashionista Sofia Vergara and look as hot and sexy as her, I believe Priyanka did it with utmost grace and sensuality. With her spectacular outings at the international awards last year — a sensuous Zuhair Murad white dress at Oscars 2016 and the twirling hot red gown by Jason Wu at the Emmy’s — both national and international media had their eyes on this diva.Keeping up with her trend of minimalistic fashion, Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra wore a Ralph Lauren sequinned gown that took 1600 hours of embroidery to make, at the recently held Golden Globe awards at Beverly Hills, California."Adding to the point, designer Poonam Bhagat states, "I personally did not like the whole look and believe that Priyanka could have done much better.

Her fashion taste is evolving.". Though E! Online listed Priyanka’s look amongst the worst dressed celebrities at this year’s award ceremony, the Indian design fraternity feels the star rocked the chic look with class but could do better. The open neck adds newness to the whole look and the straight silhouette fits perfectly well with her figure. The detailing in the garment uplifted the look to the next level and Priyanka is definitely moving in the right direction, feels designer Urvashi Kaur."Urvashi feels the dress is glamorous and Priyanka looks gorgeous, but from international standards she isn’t there yet. I have never noticed her before when she was in India as she never challenged the prototypes earlier and was missing the fashion quotient.

Traditional poetry in India likens life itself to cloth on a loom. However, the needs of children from artisan families are not addressed as the education being provided in not relevant to them and there are many dropouts or misfits who don’t wish to take the family tradition forward. India, with its breathtaking and varied textile traditions, is in the enviable position of having practically all the styles of weaving, printing and embroidery still intact. Dr Alka Raghuvanshi is an art writer, curator and artist and can be contacted on alkaraghuvanshi@yahoo. Now this weaver is a graduate who not only sent Wholesale cap embroidery machines machines me images on WhatsApp and after I selected the pieces, he couriered the stuff and within 10 days, my first batch of sarees was ready! The social media helped me to reach out to fellow saree wearers and many younger people who were happy to acquire the sarees.

Mohammed studied to become a college graduate but instead of looking for a job, expanded the family tradition of weaving to another level by taking a bank loan, putting looms in his sister’s and various cousins’ homes, mentored other members of the family to further develop their weaving skills and used the social media to hawk his wares. It is my dream to curate an exhibition that will attempt to give a pan-Indian overview of the amazing dexterity and mind-boggling range of textiles that form part of the sub-continent’s great cultural heritage. The fact that Indian textiles have captured the imagination of art historians and connoisseurs alike and generate tremendous interest is amply borne out by the fact that a large number of publications on the subject have and continue to emanate from all over the world. I decided to put the profit money in a small fund to help other weavers whenever I came across such situations.

I called my weaver from Chanderi to send me some sarees that had space to print on them in the sense that weaving didn’t cover the entire saree.com. As a former consultant to the ministry of human resource development, I have tried several times to push for designing school syllabus in these crafts pockets with the children of crafts people in mind but to no avail. The reason for my syllabus agenda is very simple: India is divided into clear craft and weaving centres where for want of better alternatives, all children go to the same schools. Indian textiles find mention in some of the ancient bandishs and texts. The past few months I have been pre-occupied working with weavers from Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh and a few wooden block printers from Ayodhya and Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. While photographs and other published material has been seen, the actual textiles have been seen in fragments. The story of my block printer Naseeb is no different.

Together, they come together to form a language, and therefore a culture."Nidhi Khurana’s larger than life 26 x 16 foot map of Panipat on the other hand is very modern and incorporates several techniques of weaving. Says Khurana: "The China tuft embroidery machines Manufacturers map of Panipat is a physical manifestation of my interaction with the ancient city. As the old expression goes, "Money talks," well, so do clothes and fabrics. Print-heavy pieces are one of the easiest to incorporate in your summer wardrobe.Brocade, an embossed woven-silk material shot through with metallic threads, has been worn to convey social status for centuries in places such as Byzantium, China, Italy and India. A flippy skirt would look fab paired with a cosy cropped jacket and a moto jacket paired with skinnies in a warm hue is another great option," they conclude.

Instead, go for clean, structured lines in modern shapes such as a pencil skirt or blazer. But it didn’t begin in Banaras until the 17th century. It is one of the ultimate dandy fabrics." About brocade’s India connect, designer Ritika Arya Jain shares, "In India, Banaras is considered to be the hub for brocading, or silk weaving. But these days the tactile, ornate material is as beloved of fashion designers as interior decorators. It’s got a very sensual appeal because it’s almost 3D in the way it’s woven. Embroidery, fabric, colour, archeology, sculpture, music, dance. Investing in the arts will provide impetus to creation and growth in a multi-dimensional way.One of the reasons for this is also because learning rarely addresses this in the institutional educational set-up. How nicely put! Each and every day I see around me in India, symbols of art and culture that are inviolable, unalterable.

I cannot agree more with the Canadian finance minister when he referred to culture as a "collective wealth that goes beyond economic benefits and statistics". Then everyone was touched with his humanistic approach towards migrants. This major public reinvestment is surely going to impact the quality of creation, recognition and projection. It has grace and flow. My list is endless. When music and dance take a beating it hurts. Or the astounding temples that baffle imagination. When a patachitra artist takes months to make his astounding painting and spends hours trying to convince the buyer why he needs to charge what he does, it hurts.Everyone was ecstatic when the Canadian premier danced Bhangra.

Along with short and long dresses, she has created interesting ethnic options including salwaar kameez with dupatta. While some have diversified in terms of colour code and cuts, others have given interesting twists rhinestone mixed embroidery machines Factory to conventional pinks and haute reds. First published in Chinese in 2008, it’s the first of a trilogy, and one of the best-selling Chinese science fiction novels of all time. After putting so much thought into the details of the astrophysics and interstellar communication that underpin the book, Liu is surprisingly lazy with his extraterrestrials.Overall, it’s an excellent read. The book features frequent digressions into scientific and mathematical detail. A new wave of translations is changing that. Somehow, these science lessons never weigh the book down. The scenes set within the VR (virtual reality) game had me picturing a version of World of Warcraft redesigned by Tsui Hark.

Over the last couple of years, Ken Liu and John Chu, both award-winning science fiction authors themselves, have translated an exciting selection of Chinese science fiction short stories for magazines like Clarkesworld and Pathlight. But when the alien characters begin making references to earthly things such as camera film, embroidery, and walnuts in order to elucidate these concepts, it gets a bit ridiculous. One of these is a virtual reality sword-and-planet game called "Three Body", through which humans are initiated into the Trisolaran cult. It’s set in a surreal landscape on a world where suns of different sizes seem to rise and set randomly, and where the player encounters Zhou dynasty astrologers, medieval European knights, brutal kings, and Isaac Newton.

There is a riddle to solve about the structure of this gameworld, and in some ways these chapters are reminiscent of classic works of "Hard SF" novels that put scientific accuracy in the foreground, like Larry Niven’s Ringworld or Arthur C. I won’t give it away, but it involves a Chinese zither made out of nanofibres, a 60,000-ton oil tanker, and the Panama canal. One highlight of the game is the terrifying ritual of Dehydration, where the residents are flattened into "man-shaped pieces of leather", rolled up and stacked in huge storehouses for the long winters when the suns are all far away. Here the action shifts to planet Trisolaris, where we finally meet the aliens and they’re terribly disappointing. Clarke’s Rendezvous with Rama only quite a bit more fun.
